Edward Clyde Adams, Jr
May 26, 1969 - |
Edward Clyde Adams, Jr., 41, of Juneau
Alaska died of unknown causes on July 04, 2010.
Ed was born May 26, 1969 in Anchorage, Alaska to Marjorie and Edward
C. Adams.
He was an enthusiastic child--giving his all to everything he tried.
He sold potholders, pens, and his halloween candy to the neighbors.
He, along with his little sister Tracey Jane built tree forts, kelp
box derby racers, and one very heavy wooden airplane--he could never
run fast enough to get it off the ground.
Ed had many jobs during his life but the most important to him was
fishing. In Prince William Sound he was often aboard the Sea Fox,
the Bobbi Jo, or the T.J. with his father. Ed fished the Miss Lilly
for one season then was Captain and owner of the Gunvor, which he
and his life partner Lauri Walton fished together in the waters of
Southeast Alaska. Ed started a business, ACE Floorcoverings, which
he operated until severe back problems forced him to close the
business.
Ed loved music . He played trumpet in the Floyd Dryden Middle School
band, then learned guitar. He could play any music he heard by ear.
One of Ed’s proudest moments was when his Juneau Billiard League
team won for the season allowing them to participate in a national
tournament in Las Vegas. Ed also loved to read. Two of his favorite
authors were Dean Kootnz and John Grisham.
Ed had a quick wit, and was entertaining to be around.
Ed was a devoted father to his daughter Allison Walton. He played
with her, cooked for her, and taught
her to somersault. He was delighted when she danced as he played
“Popeye the Sailor Man” for her on the guitar or recorder.
During his life Ed lived in Anchorage, Cold Bay, Bettles, Northway,
Sitka, Bethel, Cordova, and Wasilla Alaska, and Las Cruces New
Mexico--ending up in Juneau, Alaska for the last 28 years of his
life.
Ed is survived by his life partner Lauri Walton, his daughter
Allison Walton, his mother Marjorie Adams and step father James
Conner, his sister Tracey Lesher (Frank Zumda), his nephew Zachary
Lesher, niece Kyra Lesher, of Juneau, grandmother Dorothy Courkamp
of Lamar Colorado, uncles Donald (Henrietta) Fox, Michael (Vicki
Warren) Fox of Phoenix Arizona, aunts Carolyn Jean (Stanley) Simpson
of Doniphan Missouri, Patricia (Tom) Hardy of Phoenix Arizona, Fayma
(David) Hansen of Hudson Ohio, cousins Shannon (Apryl) McVey of
Juneau, Sherry McVey of San Bernardino California, Monica Sanders of
Grants Pass Oregon, Daryl (Yolanda) Fox, Sonia (James) Schermerhorn,
Christopher Fox and Jayson Hardy of Phoenix Arizona, Jeremy (Sheila)
Fox of Fort Collins Colorado, Beverly and Mathew Hansen of Ohio, as
well as numerous friends including Lauri’s mother Pamela Walton. Ed
was preceded in death by his father Edward C. Adams, Sr.,
grandfather Richard K. Fox, grandfather Durward C. Adams, and
grandmother Juanita Adams, and step grandfather Leonard Courkamp of
Lamar, Colorado.
A memorial celebration of Edward’s life will be held on July 18 at
the first pavillion on Sandy Beach on Douglas Island from 5:00PM
until 7:00 PM. Please write down stories about Edward which will be
placed in a book to be saved for his daughter Allison. These can be
mailed to Lauri Walton or Marjorie
Adams at 9338 Turn St. Juneau, AK 99801. Ed’s remains were handled
by the Alaska Cremation Society of Anchorage. The remains will be
returned to Juneau.
Your family and friends loved you and will miss you, Ed.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Cremation Society of Alaska. |

restriction year to year and a random team with restriction of 2-years.
Also, majority wanted 5-player teams with split between 5x4 and 5x5.
